Special thanks to outgoing Alumni Association Board of Governors delegate Dianne Majer Mundy for her service.

1967

MaryAnn Diorio shares that her children’s picture book, “WHO IS JESUS?,” has earned the Mom’s Choice Award®, deeming it to be among the best products and services for families.

1968

Congratulations to Nancy Girvin Burke ’00 Ed.D. for being re-elected to the Alumni Association Board of Governors, serving the 2025-2028 term.

1977

Kathleen Spaltro shares that her new biography, “Ethel Barrymore: Shy Empress of the Footlights,” will be published in January 2026.  She is dedicating the book to Clare Wagner Peterson ’76, who has been extremely supportive during the production process.

1989

Mary Potts Bogsch shares that she retired last June after 47 years, previously working as a Senior Research Technician at Ashland, Inc.

1990

Congratulations to Maureen Matthews Scott and Tracey Putrino Jones for being re-elected to the Alumni Association Board of Governors, serving the 2025-2028 term.

1991

Geraldine Carter Donaher shares, “My YA book, ‘Mouth Shut, Head Down,’ will be released in January 2026 by Parisian Phoenix Publishing. I’m grateful for all the professionals who offered valuable insights as I researched the facts behind domestic sex trafficking of minors.”

1992

Nancy Helring Meyers shares that the software company she founded (Advocord) was recently awarded the Keane Award for excellence in the delivery of legal services by the American Bar Association (ABA). The award was presented at the ABA Techshow in Chicago.  

2003

Marianne Hazel, Ed.D., former Alumni Society Board of Directors member, is now Director of Development for Discovery Space, a children’s science center in State College, PA. For the past 18 years, she has owned and operated Simplicity: A Bed and Breakfast built in 1870 for Rebecca Valentine Pugh, widow of Evan Pugh, the first Penn State president, in Bellefonte, PA.

Congratulations to Lori De Rea Kolb ’09 M.A. for being elected to the Alumni Association Board of Governors, serving the 2025-2028 term.

Erin Beatty recently published a book through Amazon titled “Embracing Ambiguity: From Fear to Fight.”

Kristin Lynch was named to the GBTA WINiT Top 50 Rising Female Leaders list, celebrating women who are shaping the future of business travel leadership, mentorship, and innovation.

2018

Nicole Bucciarelli started a new position as studio production manager at Burlington Stores, Inc.

Matt Miller Ed.D., principal of Roundtown Elementary School in the Central York School District, has been named Pennsylvania’s 2025 National Distinguished Principal (NDP) by the Pennsylvania Principals Association.
