1960

Jeanne Sherry Pattman welcomed her 10th & 11th great-grandchildren, Fiona and Adeline Jeanne, in March. Jeanne shares, “I will be teaching at an English language camp in Tczew in July. My 13th year enjoying Polish teenagers.”

1963

Barbara M. Fahy’s latest publication is “From Image to Text: A Reading of the Spiritual Exercises, Jesuit Texts and Rubens’s Ceiling Paintings in the Jesuit Church at Antwerp” in “The Jesuitica Project: Twenty Years – Twenty Stories,” Leuven, Belgium, 2024. She shares, “I have given many papers on this wonderful former Jesuit church in Antwerp, now a parish church. My research bridges history, theology and art history.  I am honored that I am one of the 20 scholars selected for this anniversary book.”

Mary Anne Bensinger Gearing shares, “Hoping to see all of you ‘Down the Shore’ in Avalon in July; if that doesn’t work, there are other venues On the Road so we can catch up on all of the activities that are happening on campus. The biggest is the need for dorm renovation—remember the big five?”

Bobbie Giordano Costigan shares, “Noreen Cheleden, Beth O’Neill, Ferdie Lamb and I met for dinner at Ambrosia in Philadelphia to celebrate Noreen’s birthday. Enjoyed catching up on latest family news. Always a fun time.”

1967

Nine of us attended Reunion Day on April 27th. As always, IU provided us with ambiance, good food, drink, and we brought the fun!

Upcoming 2024 events: Carol Night is December 6, and the Golden Macs Christmas Tea is December 10. The tea is a lovely afternoon, and we always have a good group. We hope to see you there.

Happy summer to you, and remember, our 60th is only three years away. Until we are together again, let’s hang on to what we got!

MaryAnn Genova Diorio, Ph.D., has completed book three in her historical women’s fiction series, “The Wives of Old Cape May.” “The Farmer and Mrs. Lombardi” is the story of a 19th-century, middle-aged mother of four who births a child with Down syndrome.

1970

1971

1973

Margie O’Donnell Donohue shares, “Thanks to all our classmates who contributed this year to the Annual Fund, 20%. I hope we can increase that percentage next year! Whatever the amount, it will help IU! Bill and I were blessed with our eighth grandchild, Juliette Grace, born in May.”

1976

Renée Tomasso Esposito shares, “My granddaughter, Isabella, is two years old. She just started calling me “grandmom,” which is in honor of my grandmother, Theresa!”

1981

Moya Kaporch Dittmeier shares that she and her husband, John, have moved close to Athens, Georgia for their retirement. They look forward to experiencing the pace of small-town living after the bustle of life in the D.C. metro area. “Come and visit, y’all!”

1982

Alice O’Neill McLoughlin has written a memoir celebrating her life in Ireland and four years at Immaculata on a John McShain scholarship. The book will bring back warm memories to all the alumni who read it. “More Precious than Gold” is available from Barnes & Noble or Amazon.

1983

Valerie Dondero Mahfood was elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in Miami.

Congratulations to Maria Cicippio Smeykal for being re-elected to the Alumni Association Board of Governors, serving the 2024-2027 term.

1986

2001

Constance Haske will transition from seventh grade exceptional child inclusion this fall to the position of middle school math interventionist, with Corvian Community School in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Jane Strasser Knappenberger recently wrote a book entitled “Eternally His,” a Bible study guide geared toward women, helping them learn their true identity as beloved creations of the Father. The book was recently granted an imprimatur by Archbishop Perez of Philadelphia.

2005

Lorraine Sult shares that as of January 2, 2024, she is working as counsel for employment at the United States Senate.

2006

Congratulations to Sarah Wolfe ’10 M.A. for being re-elected to the Alumni Association Board of Governors, serving the 2024-2027 term.

2009

Timothy Williams, Ed.D., will be retiring again on May 31, 2024, from the Addison Central School District in Middlebury, Vermont. He served this year as the district’s interim superintendent and the prior year in a similar capacity for the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center.

2010

2012

Congratulations to Christina Gresh, M.S.N., for being elected to the Alumni Association Board of Governors, serving the 2024-2027 term.

Nick Litrenta was promoted from the VP commercial lender to market executive and senior commercial lender at ACNB Bank in November 2023.

2013

Richard Girkin became assistant archivist of the Catholic Historical Research Center of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in September 2023.

2014

Congratulations to Melanie Dudley for being elected to the Alumni Association Board of Governors, serving the 2024-2027 term.
