In August, the Immaculata University community mourned the passing of three beloved IHM Sisters who died within days of one another. Each of these remarkable women dedicated her life to service and education, leaving an indelible mark on the University and all who knew them. May they rest in peace.
Sister Virginia Assumpta McNabb, IHM ’57
Sister Virginia Assumpta McNabb passed away on Aug. 18, 2025, in the 74th year of her religious life. She was 92 years old. A longtime member of the business department, she taught accounting and economics to generations of students.

Sister Marie Carroll Isselmann, IHM ’72, Ed.D.
Sister Marie Carroll Isselmann passed away on Aug. 19, 2025, in the 66th year of her religious life. She was 84 years old. Over the years, she served the University in several capacities, including as a faculty member for home economics, vice president for Academic Affairs, and, most recently, director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Institutional Advancement. She retired in June 2025, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and devotion at Immaculata.

Sister Marie Hubert Kealy, IHM ’57, Ph.D.
Sister Marie Hubert passed away on Aug. 21, 2025, in the 70th year of her religious life. She was 89 years old. A gifted teacher and director, she shared her love of literature as a professor of English and guided generations of students through many Cue & Curtain theater productions.
